New look for the Malecon in the Old Port

The remodeling of the Malecon Area has been completed, Mayor Alejandro Zepeda cut the ribbon symbolizing the reopening of the Malecón where 61 million 136 thousand 730 pesos was spent in the first stage.You can now drive through the whole area to enjoy and appreciate the beautification of this important tourist attraction in the town.

The Malecon is a sign of pride for Rocky Point – said the Mayor

The construction work included the installation of monitoring modules (for security), tourist information modules, new bathrooms, remodeling existing bathrooms, installation of 10 pergolas, 150 benches and new landscape.

One last thing to mentioned is that all of the Old Port will be remodeled. What they just finished is the front area of the Old Port, the Malecon, there is still work on paving and putting underground wiring on the rest of this area.
